Our Safety and Equipment Information in Milwaukee, WI

Safety

At Langer, we have a dedicated full-time Safety Director on staff to ensure compliance with all OSHA and regulatory requirements. Our roofing and sheet metal tradesmen undergo safety training and undergo pre-employment as well as periodic drug testing.

Furthermore, our roofing tradesmen hold Certa-Torch certification and State of Wisconsin asbestos abatement certification. Any personnel operating our trucks, tankers, and boom trucks are required to possess a Commercial Driver's License. Langer takes pride in being a charter member of the Association of General Contractors Safety Leaders Forum.

With a steadfast commitment to safety, Langer boasts one of the best safety records in the industry. Over the past decade, we have maintained an insurance Experience Modification Rating (EMR) averaging 0.61.

Fume Control

Controlling fumes from a roofing kettle outdoors presents a significant challenge. The Garlock FumeGuard Control System effectively reduces fumes and odors during the heating of asphalt or coal tar pitch for hot roofing applications. This is particularly crucial for occupants of buildings such as schools, offices, and healthcare facilities, where air quality is paramount.

Accident/Fall Protection

In our commitment to the safety of our tradesmen, Langer has made significant investments in multiple AES Raptor R1000 fall protection systems. These systems meet OSHA fall arrest standards and offer the flexibility to be relocated to different spots on a flat roof. Their mobility enhances versatility, making them ideal for projects with limited options for fall restraint tie-offs.
